The restoration of the tower and bells is part of a wider Renovation Scheme in
the parish, and has been made possible only through the support of many hundreds of people in the
congregation and throughout the parish. Much of the finance has been given through the Renovation
Fund Envelope Scheme. A public appeal was launched in October 1987 to give the community at large
the opportunity to contribute, and this is receiving excellent support. At the time of writing the fund
is still open; when it is complete a permanent record will be made of all subscriptions to the
Parish Renovation Fund and the Tower and Bell Restoration Fund. The Ballymena Honorary Society
of Bellringers is grateful for the support and encouragement given by everyone who has contributed
to the project in any way.
